Title: Full-time and part-time maintenance team positions 

General Description

Christ the King Catholic Church in Tampa has job openings for full-time and part-time maintenance team positions. The position will involve campus up-keep, handy-man repairs, janitorial tasks and assisting staff and parishioners.

Additional skills needed:
– Able to lift 50lbs
– Proactively and reactively cleaning and disinfecting
– Knowledge of basic tools
– Basic handyman skills
– Attention to detail
– Professional and courteous
Candidate must successfully pass a Level II FBI background screening and complete Safe Environment Training.

Title: Nursery Staff

General Description

The Part-Time Church Nursery Staff will be responsible for providing safe and nurturing care to children ranging in age from infants to preschoolers during Parish Masses and events. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all children are well taken care of, engaged in age-appropriate activities, and safe at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and care for children ranging in age from infants to preschoolers during Parish events, bible studies, and Sunday Mass.
    1. Regular Nursery Hours from August through May are:
      1. Sunday Masses 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM
      2. Wednesdays from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
      3. Thursdays from 9 AM to 1:00 PM
      4. Special Events as needed. (Lenten Stations of the Cross on Friday nights, Weekend Parent Retreats, Seminars, etc.)
    2. Summer Hour June and July are:
      1. Sunday Masses 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM
      2. Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
      3. Special Events as needed
    3. Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as games, reading, and crafts.
    4. Provide basic first aid when necessary and seek assistance from church leadership or emergency services as needed.
    5. Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the nursery, including cleaning and disinfecting toys and equipment.
    6. Communicate effectively with parents and church leadership regarding the care and needs of the children.
    7. Attend all required training sessions and meetings.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Prior experience working with children in a daycare or nursery setting is preferred.
  3. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  4. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with children and adults.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Commitment to the mission and values of the church.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  2. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
  3. Ability to perform basic cleaning tasks such as wiping down surfaces and vacuuming.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
