Preparation for Confirmation is a spiritual, family experience. Through the preparation process, participants will grow in their sense of community, deepen their understanding of the sacramental rites, and express their understanding in a faithful response. Important Information for 8th & 9th Grade teen Confirmation

 

Sacrament Registration & Parent meeting (REQUIRED)

Parents, mark your calendars for our Sacrament Registration & Parent Meeting! This meeting is mandatory, your child cannot be registered for sacramental preparation without at least one parent or guardian in attendance. Fr. Len has asked that in order to safely distance, that only ONE parent from each family attend this meeting.  Meetings take place in the Cafeteria. No RSVP necessary. (Additional important dates noted below.)

     September 30, 6:00-7:00pm CAFE

     October 4, 10:30-11:30am CAFE

     CKS Students Confirmation Preparation will be addressed at 8th Grade meeting on October 5

 

Who can register for Teen Confirmation?
  • Students in 8th grade or High School are eligible to register for the Teen Confirmation program at Christ the King Catholic Church.
  • All Confirmand must attend two consecutive years of Catholic education prior to Confirmation. The required Catholic education may be through parish religious education classes or a Catholic school.
  • Those in 7th or 8th grade who do not attend Catholic school should enroll in our Religious Education (RE) program in order to fulfill the above requirement! **CLICK HERE** for RE information. (Note: Registration for RE classes does not automatically register your child for the sacrament, one must attend the Sacrament Registration & Parent Meeting noted at the top of this page.)

 

High School Confirmation

Do you have a High School student who would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation? Please contact Mrs. Kiser to set up an appointment to meet with you and your child in the month of August. Mrs. Kiser will map out a program to have your son or daughter receive the Sacrament.
