Lent is Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving.

We invite you to join us during this Lenten season!

PRAYER

Sign up for DOSP Be Courageous Daily Reflections! These reflections examine the Scripture of the day, including a question to think about in relation to your own life and a prayer intention for the day. The reflections feature a variety of writers from around the DOSP – religious sisters, priests, deacons, the faithful, a monk from St Leo Abbey and Bishop Parkes. Sign up at: www.dosp.org/reflection or text REFLECTION to 84576.

FASTING

Catholics between the ages of 18 and 59 are obligated to fast on Ash Wednesday and encouraged to fast on Fridays. Those above the age of 14 must abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays of Lent.

Our Lenten Wheel of Sacrifice will be back if you need help choosing what to give up for Lent!

ALMSGIVING

Our parish offers many opportunities for almsgiving, including Renew Haiti (take a canister to collect change during Lent), Project Shoes (providing needy children shoes for Easter), Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Faith Café, Trinity Café, Home Makers of Hope and more. See the Bulletin or visit our Outreach page for more information on these ministries.
