Volunteer Program Description
Provide support for homebound Tampa Bay seniors suffering from chronic illness. Loneliness can take a real physical toll, equated to smoking 16 cigarettes a day. Loneliness compounds the effects of chronic illness, increasing anxiety and causing hospital readmissions that would otherwise be preventable. Telehealth Buddies are trained to provide support and companionship through telephone reassurance. Join TeleHealth Buddies to enable seniors to self-manage their health and live independently, with dignity. For more information contact Michaela Pattison at 8134928931 or email@example.com
Support isolated and homebound Tampa Bay seniors through regular telephone calls. It’s easy to underestimate the danger of isolation: loneliness eclipses obesity and even smoking as a factor contributing to poor health outcomes. Luckily, friendships may be a cure! TelePals keep people socially connected while staying physically distant. Regular phone calls say: “You have a friend who cares.” Make a connection, build a friendship. Join TelePals today! For more information contact Becky Ford at 8134920725 or firstname.lastname@example.org

Each year independent assessments of student progress – performed by teachers, not by Seniors in Service – consistently show that at least 95% of children we serve improve literacy and/or social-emotional skills. We are a ministry which feeds the homeless in Tampa on Sundays throughout the year. We also try and provide other things they may need like clothing, hygiene supplies, over the counter meds and lots of LOVE. We believe that the homeless should be treated with love and respect. We look at them as family members who have been injured and we try to love them back to life.
